This method, rooted in respect and love, invites the person struggling with addiction to engage from the outset, fostering voluntary participation in a blame-free environment. Our comprehensive care plan includes bespoke guidance and a full recovery plan designed for those who expect the utmost service, care, and discretion.
Shauna McKenna Vick, a survivor of alcohol use disorder, workaholism, and the pressures of striving for perfection, has lived through decades of sobriety, a challenging relapse, and a resilient return to a sober life. Her journey inspired her to transition from a successful career in software sales to founding Return to Joy Recovery and Intervention. Now, she dedicates her life to guiding others towards recovery, offering services like Arise Invitational Intervention, treatment planning, sober companionship, safe transport, and coaching.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Shauna now enjoys life in North Carolina with her husband, daughter, and two labradoodles. Embracing nature and the outdoors, she cherishes early mornings by the fire pit for meditation, regardless of the cold. After many years in the corporate world and frequent travels, she now prefers spending her time gardening, hiking, golfing, skiing, kayaking, or fly fishing, always likely to be found outside.
In recovery from substance use, having a strong support network is crucial for long-term success. Beyond the help of A.A. sponsors and support groups, in the early stages of sobriety, you might need extra, professional support. That's where sober support comes in. Unlike traditional sponsors, sober support professionals have personal experience with long-term recovery and are dedicated to helping those who are just starting their sober journey.
We offer guidance, support, and a layer of protection against relapse, available at any time, to help create and maintain a sober lifestyle. Return to Joy also offers a unique 72-hour transitional service to smoothly move from treatment back into everyday life. This service helps set up routines, improve family relationships, provide transport to therapy, and even attend recovery meetings together. With 24/7 availability, sober support acts as both a constant source of help and a way to keep accountable, making the transition to a sober life less daunting.
Return to Joy's premier Sober Transportation service supports individuals on their recovery journey, offering more than just a ride. With expert companions, we ensure safe, dignified transport, creating a foundation of motivation and accountability that's crucial for recovery. This service is particularly vital in the first year of sobriety, a time when the risk of relapse peaks, enhancing the prospects for enduring recovery.
Beyond transportation, Return to Joy provides a holistic solution for those traveling to or from treatment facilities across states, significantly lowering relapse risks. For clients seeking care in the United States and Canada, we offer comprehensive support, including accommodation with a dedicated recovery expert, embodying our commitment to fostering sustained sobriety with care and sophistication.
